How to Stake
Last updated: 20th February 2026
Step-by-step guide to staking ALKIMI tokens
Prerequisites
- ALKIMI tokens in your Sui wallet
- Sui wallet connected to Alkimi Labs (Phantom, Slush, or OKX)
- Completed KYC verification
- Small amount of SUI tokens for gas fees (fractions of a cent)
- A desktop computer (staking interface is optimised for desktop)
Step-by-Step Staking Process
Step 1: Access Alkimi Labs
- Visit labs.alkimi.org
- Click "Connect Wallet"
- Select your Sui wallet and approve the connection
- Verify your wallet address is correct
Step 2: Navigate to Staking
From the main dashboard, click "Stake" or "Staking". Review current staking statistics:
- Total ALKIMI staked
- Current APR from protocol fees
- Your current positions
- Available rewards to claim
Step 3: Choose Staking Type
Flexible staking has no lock-up period: unstake anytime and earn base protocol fee rewards.
Locked staking: current options include only standard flexible staking. Historical locked positions continue earning until their unlock date.
Step 4: Enter Staking Amount
- Enter the amount of ALKIMI to stake
- Minimum staking amount is 1000 ALKIMI tokens
- View estimated rewards based on current protocol fees using our community created page thealkimator.com
Important: Stake in multiple positions. The staking smart contract only allows full unstaking of each position. Stake in 4-10 separate chunks rather than one large position.
Example: for 100,000 ALKIMI, create positions of 10,000-25,000 each. This way you can unstake individual positions if needed while keeping others staked.
Step 5: Confirm Staking
- Review transaction details (amount, staking type, gas fee in SUI, expected rewards)
- Click "Stake ALKIMI"
- Confirm the transaction in your wallet popup
- Wait for confirmation (usually seconds)
Step 6: Verify Staking Position
Check the dashboard for your new staking position showing:
- Amount staked
- Staking type
- Start date
- Accumulated rewards
- Estimated APR
The position begins earning immediately.
Autostaking
For users who prefer to compound their rewards automatically, autostaking is available. This reinvests claimed rewards back into the staking pool without requiring manual action.
The New Staking Dashboard
Banking-style interface: The dashboard presents all staking positions in a clean, familiar format. Users can see their total staked amount, individual positions, accrued rewards, and claimed rewards at a glance.
Unified account view: All staking positions associated with a user's Labs account are displayed in one place. No need to switch between views or track positions separately.
Flexible wallet access: Users no longer need to set a primary wallet. Any wallet linked to an Alkimi Labs account can be used to log in. This removes friction, especially for users with multiple wallets.
How Staking Works in Labs: Key Terms Explained
Total Staked: This is the net amount of ALKIMI currently staked by you. It is calculated as your total staked minus your total unstaked.
Total Rewards: This is the cumulative sum of all your hard staking rewards generated since 19 August 2025, including Q1 2026 rewards.
Total Rewards Claimed: This covers your rewards accrued up to 31 December 2025, plus any rewards you have actively claimed. It does not include Q1 2026 rewards.
Rewards Accrued: This is the total rewards accumulated for a given stake. The sum of all individual rewards accrued equals Total Rewards.
Auto Stake Toggle: When you enable the auto stake toggle, your unclaimed rewards will automatically count towards your pool participation, thereby removing the need to claim and restake manually. Toggle it on and your rewards work harder for you without any extra steps.
